Cape native anchors flagship store in Provincetown

Carleton founded his company in 2004, in Portland, Maine. Now he has opened a flagship store in Provincetown, where the nautical theme is so rich that you could swear you're not on earth.
Clothing in the store on Commercial Street, which launched this weekend's Memorial Day, hangs on copper railings were once bolted to the steamship. The carpet is actually a mosaic of sails past prime. In the attic, next to the old paint and protected by more old canvas, is a notch from backbone of a whale.
"It's really about things I like and love," said Carleton.
The store showcases a brand that has grown from vintage T-shirts include a full line of clothing for men and women.
Carleton, who grew up in Orleans, earned his chops at Ralph Lauren design, Abercrombie & Fitch and LL Bean - brands that have defined the New England style to the outside world.
