Targeting in Facebook – Keyword Lists
by Jonathan Volk
Targeting in Facebook? Yes, you should. If you want to target large volumes we think it is the best way to start untargeted campaigns so you would reach massive volumes. Don’t!
The Facebook system has an invisible “quality score” which tells the system to push your ad or decrease the amount of views. To my opinion and what I have seen CTR is the most important factor within their quality rating. You should look at your CTR and decide if you want create a new ad or stick to your current ads. If you create a new ad Facebook is going to send you massive volumes from the start and checks your quality. After 24 hours the system will decide in which frequency your ad will be visible.
So if you want to receive massive volumes? Start targeting! Because Facebook is going to check your ad and look if you should receive high volumes you should split your target group in different segments. Create appealing ads with a high CTR. And in that way the Facebook keyword tool comes in handy. Facebook checks the interests and groups of their members and show your ads if you targeted on similar keywords. Underneath you find an interesting list with keywords. Enjoy!
